COAT CLOSET MINISTRY

Information

Thanks be to God for the wonderful support and commitment from the Eastern Shore Community in its participation in the Coat Closet ministry at Onley UMC.  Since the inception of this ministry ten years ago, over 6,000 coats have been distributed to our neighbors.

If an emergency situation should arise during a given month, please email jrell11@verizon.net  with details of coats needed and your contact information, and someone from the Coat Closet will respond.

We continue to accept cash donations as well as coats, hats, scarves, jackets, and gloves during the year.   If you wish to donate gently-used items, please either email us at jre11@verizon.net or call 757.710.1524 to leave a message, and we will arrange a time to meet you at church for drop off or arrange to pick-up.   Cash donations may be sent to Onley UMC, P O Box 98, Onley, VA 23418; please note "coat closet" in the memo section of the check.

Thank you again for your support of this very worthwhile mission!   We are so very grateful for your continued support!

A Heartfelt Thank You!

At the close of the Coat Closet Ministry for the 2021-22  Winter season, on behalf of Onley United Methodist Church, thank you to the Eastern Shore community for all your generous donations to our Coat Closet ministry.  The goal of the coat closet is to make a difference in the lives of families in need.  With the help of donations from supporters such as you, we have been able to provide over 6,000 coats, countless hats, gloves and scarves to families in our community over the last 12 years.  Thank you once again for your heartfelt kindnesses and generosity.  Thanks be to God for His wonderful blessing on this much needed ministry!
